Best place to visit
Recently visited the historic Muzaffarabad Fort, also known as Red Fort, and it was a fascinating experience! Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Neelum River, the fort offers breathtaking panoramic views of Muzaffarabad city and the surrounding mountains. The architecture reflects a blend of Mughal and Kashmiri styles, with its sturdy red-brick walls and strategic location. Though partially damaged by the 2005 earthquake, the fort still stands proudly, whispering tales of its past. Walking through its corridors and climbing up to the viewpoints was absolutely worth it! The site is well-maintained, and the serene atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for history lovers and photographers. Don’t forget to bring your camera—the sunset views are magical! Pros: Stunning views, rich history, peaceful environment. Cons: Limited information plaques, some areas need restoration. Highly recommend adding this to your itinerary if you're visiting Muzaffarabad!
